The San Antonio Chapter of Blacks in Government (BIG) is proud to partner with the Macedonia Baptist Church Social Justice Ministry and COPS Metro all year round to ensure an INFORMED VOTER = an EMPOWERED VOTER and Communities are Empowered to solve issues..
The San Antonio Chapter of Blacks in Government (BIG) is sponsoring three (3) scholarships to three (3) deserving High School Seniors within the San Antonio area! The application must be post marked by May 4, 2024. Late applications will NOT be accepted. We will be awarding three (3) $1,000.00 scholarships. Please see attached application.

Guest Speaker, SAC-BIG March Meeting
SAC-BIG was represented at the 67 CW 9th Annual Black History Program along with the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum. (SAAACAM).
BIG in Action at Taste of New Orleans
SAC-BIG kicked off its 2024 Membership Drive during the 37th year of Taste of New Orleans.
Thanks to the SAZA Commission Inc., the 501(c)(3) financial support arm of the San Antonio Zulu Association who are the Producers of A Taste of New Orleans, SAC-BIG members enjoyed the “Taste” while meeting and educating the community about BIG.
This year marked the 3rd year, SAC-BIG has set up camp at this Fiesta event.
The San Antonio Chapter held its CY2024 Installation of Officers as the Chapter during it's first meeting of the New Year on January 13, 2024.
President, Dr Eustace Lewis performed the oath to (from left ) Ms Alicia Butler, 2nd Vice President, Ms Myra Evans-Manyweather, President, Ms Charity Matthew, Secretary, and Ms Brandy Sanghott, Corresponding Secretary. During the meeting Myra Evans-Manyweather challenged the members to "Build Bigger Better-Together" as she laid out her vision for the CY2024 team. Congratulations to the new and returning officers.
SAC BIG is proud to Partner with SANCSC in there pursuit of "Giving Back to the Community" During the celebration dinner this year, the Honorable, Rev Art Hall of San Antonio, challenged and encouraged members in attendance. He reminded us that Change, "Starts With Me".
